So, I just realized that I can post via my phone! I’m sure you all already knew that, but I for one am pretty excited about it! Posting on the go?! Wha?! Mind. Blown. I’ll call this new found knowledge a perk of missing my connection to Tokyo.
The Glass is Half Full
Really, it is! I’ve added that picture above to prove it. And it’s full of coffee, so even better. AND it’s full of coffee being paid for by United Airlines, so still better! Also really happy I crammed all of my stuff into a carry-on so I have clean underwear today! Trying to stay positive even though I will now arrive in Tokyo 24 hours later than originally planned.
Perks of Missing Your Connection
- Getting a comfortable and peaceful nights sleep in a hotel paid by the airline. I am now TOTALLY ready for 18-ish hours of travel!
- Having lots of time to look stuff up. I was worried about not having phone capabilities for the solo part of my trip. So I checked in with Verizon and found out about their Travel Pass program- awesome! I can now use my phone in Japan without having to connect to WiFi! I’ll let you know how well it works.
- Getting to go through airport security again. Oh, what? You don’t love airport security? Huh. Weird.
- Having time to read about solo female travel. Not something I’m really keen on doing since I’m already wishing I had a friend here to chat with and missing my family, but some great suggestions from some blogging ladies that are braver (and probably more extroverted) than I.
- As mentioned above, figuring out that I can post from my phone. I feel so modern now.
- That’s it. Did you really expect me to have more than five things on this list? Seriously.
That’s all I’ve got for now. Have to catch a flight! (For real this time).
